BOARD MEETING TONIGHT

APRIL 11, 2018

7:30 P.M. AT THE LIBRARY

Good news! The Village has purchased new equipment for the

workout room: 2 recumbent bicycles, treadmill, and an eliptical

machine. Thank you to Joseph Peterson for donating and installing

the brackets for the TRX bands. Talk to Corinne about using them.

Would whomever borrowed the chin up bar please return it?

This is a member's property and does not belong to the

Village.

Also, please remember any child not in high school needs to

be accompanied at all times by an adult when at the Community

Center.

Going to_heaven_300

So sad to report the passing of Norman Duncan. His funeral was

this past Saturday and he was laid to rest in the Unadilla Cemetery.

Many condolences to his family and friends.

vintage license_plates

Did you know that from 1915 to 1939 you had to buy new license

plates every year as they were 2 colors and the color combination

changed every year? Also, coming up is the anniversary of the

introduction of the Ford Mustang on 4-17-1964. Mustang or

Falcon, such a dilemma for former Groundhog royalty!

Die Winter_Die_300

There's a rumor going around hinting at an arrest warrant for

Unadilla Bill and a welfare check to be made on Mother

Nature - Die Winter, Die! What say you boys from the Paisley

Coffee Shop? Are you up for the job?

sending feel_better_wishes

Continued get well wishes to Roland Rodaway, Rich Lechner,

Bill Davis and Sheila Glathar.

Baseball player

Please remember the intersection by the Park/Ballfield

is a 4-way stop and the speed limit on that street is

25 m.p.h. Please watch for ballplayers of all ages

as the season has begun!

Thanks so much to Lois Stoner Ebert for sharing this

memento of Unadilla's history with us

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

Hen and_chicks

Friday, 4-12-1918, The Otoe Union:

John Corns was the new Farmer's Elevator manager. Chas.

Lyon and family of Merna, NE, moved back to a farm south of

Palmyra. August Seipelmeier died by hanging himself, leaving

a wife and three daughters. "Spring products in the shape of

young chicks are making their appearance in most every home

these days." Walt Wilhelm, West Russell, purchased a

Minn-Tractor "and will farm up to date this summer."
