SPECIAL MEETING

VILLAGE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

February 26, 2020

 

            A Special Meeting of the Village Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, NE, was held at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 in the Library at the Community Center. Notice of said meeting was given by posting in the three following places with the village: Countryside Bank, Post Office, and Community Center message board. A copy of said notice was served to each member of Board of Trustees 24 hours before the meeting. Members present were Dan Crownover, Dale Stoner, Janet Oelke, Scott Hincker and Lynn Schomerus. Visitors: Kevin from Midwest BBQ Association.

The Meeting was called to order by Chairman Crownover.  He informed everyone where the Open Meetings Act poster was located.

NEW BUSINESS:       

            1.         Lot address’s for Cardinal Heights were discussed and assigned.  They are as follows: 

                        Lot #1           1380 C St.                  Lot #4             1250 C St.

                        Lot #2             1350 C St.                 Lot #5             1200 C St.

                        Lot #3             1300 C St.                 Lot #6             1140 C St.

                        Lot #7             1030 C St.

Schomerus made a motion to approve the new address’s, seconded by Stoner.  On a roll call vote, Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Schomerus and Crownover voted yea.  None voted nay.  Motion carried 5-0.

             The building permit from BC Meyer to build a house on Lot 1 was reviewed.  Hincker made a motion to approve the building permit seconded by Oelke.  On a roll call vote, Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Schomerus and Crownover voted yea.  None voted nay.  Motion carried 5-0.

            Kevin from the Midwest BBQ Association discussed having a BBQ contest for our BBQ this year on June 27th.  He explained how things are done at other towns, the entry fees, how the meat is handed out and how prizes are awarded.  After reviewing several possible sites around town, Oelke made a motion to sign a contract with the association and to pay the $450.00 fee.  Stoner seconded the motion.  On a roll call vote, Stoner, Oelke, Hincker, Schomerus and Crownover voted yea.  None voted nay.  Motion carried 5-0.

            The meeting adjourned at 11:40 a.m.

The next meeting will be March 11, 2020, 7:30 p.m., at the Village Library.
