REGULAR BOARD MEETING & PUBLIC HEARING
November 09, 2016
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Unadilla, Nebraska, was held on Wednesday, November 09, 2016, 7:30 p.m. at the Unadilla Community Library. Notice of said meeting and proposed agenda of then known subjects was given by posting in the three following places within the Village: Countryside Bank, Post Office, and Community Center Notice Board; and by serving a copy of said notice to each member of the Board of Trustees more than 5 days prior to said meeting. Trustees present: Dan Crownover, Scott Hincker, Janet Oelke, Dale Stoner, and Lynn Schomerus
Chairman Crownover called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. He reminded everyone of the location of the Open Meetings Act Poster.
Oelke made a motion to approve the October 2016 minutes; Schomerus seconded, and motion carried 4-0.
Stoner made a motion to approve the October 2016 treasurer’s report; Hincker seconded, motion carried 4-0.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
The Keno check was in the amount of $2,603.56
Water consumed: 739,000; water paid for: 575,000; balance for month:
-164,000; YTD: -1,553,000. Clerk reported that letters were mailed out to our customers on the new water/sewer rates for 2017. JEO will be meeting with a committee on the mapping project for the water and sewer lines on the 16th. Clerk reported there was a water leak on 10th street that was repaired by Pete’s Plumbing.
Schoolhouse items: Clerk reported there is nothing at this time.
Property by the elevator – Nothing done at this time
Street Repairs - Paver’s submitted an estimate on some street repairs for $7,521.00.
Public comments - none
Projects for the One and Six Year Plan were discussed on the 20 remaining blocks that need to be black topped and 4 intersections.
Doug Ebert will be hired to be the Village wastewater operator. He will be hired at $17.00/hr and mileage.

The list of delinquent water and sewer patrons was reviewed. Shut-offs have been sent to: Derik Isaacs, Lisa Schmitt, Cay Rowley, Vicki Damme, Andrew Kimbell, Kimbell Const., and Andrew VanMerveren.

Correspondence: Unadilla Area Foundation will host a welcome reception at the Duncan Building on 12-6-16 at 5:30. Clerk reported that the All Fund Drive letters have been mailed out. Brochures and applications are posted on the Housing Rehabilitation grant available through SENND. Clerk reported the Ford tractor had an oil leak that has been repaired.
