Wow! What's going on with all these break-ins? Several bars, including Mal's, was robbed, and now we've learned the Reinke property west of us was broken into.
Nebraska is full of surprises. This point was made when we went to Baker's Candies in Greenwood to purchase "Nebraska Items" for an event we're going to. The variety of items is unbelievable! And well worth the trip! You never know what's hiding in your own backyard.
Continued get well wishes to Dennis Baker and others who've been ill.

Friday, 8-31-1923, The Otoe Union:
W.F. Hair was selling "Play House Shoes --- easy on the feet and durable." You could buy a train ticket to St. Joseph for the "National Celebration for Inauguration of the Pony Express." A.E. Bassett was busy digging a cave. The creamery sold again, this time to Harvey Johnson. Milt Pierson died and was buried in the Unadilla Cemetery.
