The SHS Class of 1960 held a small get together with 21 graduates and spouses from Colorado, Kansas, Ohio, and Nebraska, at Valentino's in Nebr. City. Their 60th reunion was cancelled due to Covid. Some of them returned to the home of Joyce Schulze to reminisce, and Joyce reports a good time was had by all.

This beautiful Nebraska quilt was made by Michelle Huber and is on display at our Community Library.
Well, Fall isn't officially here yet, but we can see it! Sunday morning it was 49 degrees!
Congratulations to the Mitchell Kimbell family on the birth of their son.
We still have hummingbirds at the Western Wilhelm Outpost (and plenty of sparrows of course!), but our Oriole feeder gets used less and less every day. (The bees and butterflies have taken over the Oriole feeder.)
Our hummingbird feeder gets lots of use!
Just a reminder that the weight room and gym at the Community Center can be used for all kinds of exercise. The fee is $25 a person or $75 a family, per year. You will now need a code to enter the exercise room, which can be obtained from Tiffany in the Village Office.
Wow! Doesn't the fire station look nice? And they're not done yet!
Get well wishes to all those who have been ill, taking treatments, or in the hospital. Flu shots are available now and Covid shots will be soon. Are you going to get an RSV shot too?

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO
Friday, 9-21-1923, The Otoe Union:
"C.W. Isaacs and Paul Watts autoed to Brownville." Gene Kriefels' welcomed a son, Henry Gartners' a daughter. Everyone was tuned to the radio for the Demsey-Firpo fight; Carl Schroeder set up his amplifier on the school grounds and had a large audience. A company who was doing some street paving, had their big 7-ton steam roller get away from them and nearly hit the bank building.
