The Otoe County Legion & Auxiliary Convention was held at the Unadilla Community Center on Sunday, February 18. Thirteen men and women attended from Nebr. City, Syracuse, Palmyra, and Talmage posts. The past years highlights from each community was shared. Again, the loss of members in each community was discussed as to what could be done to improve the situation, as the number of veterans drops. Deceased members of both groups were honored. Upcoming projects were also discussed. New officers were confirmed: Ed Reed will be the new Commander, Bob Wilhelm will continue as Adjutant; Carol Fisher will be the new Auxiliary President, and Linda Halvorsen will serve as Secretary-Treasurer. Thanks to those who brought cookies! The group will meet again on the 3rd Sunday of February 2025 at the Unadilla Community Center.
