Dan Anderson reports that the "Share Your Produce" food wagon raised $650, which was donated to our local Fire & Rescue. A HUGE thank you to Jerry Wallen, who came up with this idea and followed through with setting up the wagon. Do we have a great community or what!

Training at the last Fire meeting

Also from Fire & Rescue: If you have an emergency, please call 911! The phone number listed is for the fire house, but that facility is not manned except for meetings or training.
These dedicated volunteers are constantly training and updating their procedures. Here's one way you can help THEM out:

THE NEXT UNADILLA AREA FUND MEETING WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29TH, 6:30 p.m., at the Duncan Building.

Check out these skeletons at the Hincker residence. Love the dog!!!

This is the home of Tom & Shelly Block. Isn't it inviting? Looks like a great place to have your morning coffee!

Last week our travels took us to Taylor, Nebraska. Here are a few highlights:

In talking to Bob Brandt and telling him about the "Taylor" Junipers, he told me we have some in and around Unadilla! This one is beside the entrance to the walking path at our park.

Was asked to share this, please also share if you can. Thank you.

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

Friday, 10-24-1924, The Otoe Union:
"G.B. White is having a well put down on his property in the east part of town." The Otoe County Sunday School convention was held in Unadilla. E.S.Carper and Lorenz Schreiner collided near town, and sent both cars and all occupants into the ditch. Both cars lost front wheels, had bent axles, and damaged fenders. Both cars had to be towed.

Personal and marital drama abounds when they receive word that they might just have one last shot at stardom: Frank Capra is coming to see their matinee and if he likes what he sees, he might cast them in his movie! Unfortunately for George and Charlotte, everything that could go wrong does go wrong. This madcap comedy brings to light the chaos and magic of live theater!

COME ON OVER!
This is the way country music started out, with acoustic instruments, before electricity. People sat out on the lawn, on the porch, or in a friend’s house and played their instruments together. Enjoy the originality of music which is still present in many circles of friends.
