This is the crew from Syracuse High School that mulched and weeded on Friday morning in the Unadilla downtown streetscape. They were accompanied by their teacher, Mr. Stanley. They spread 12 cubic yards of mulch! The mulch was donated by Christiansen Tree Service.

Grandma Effies yellow roses 600

Planted at the Wilhelm farm by Palmyra by Bob's grandmother, Effie Wilhelm, (who died in 1977). Some of them now reside at our acreage, and bloomed again this year. They've got to be at least 50 years old!

We're coming right up on the end of the school year...where did the time go?

NEWS FROM 100 YEARS AGO

 Paperboy 250

Friday, 4-30-1926, The Otoe Union:

Even though the temperature was 29 degrees, the peaches were not killed. Unadilla would have a twelth grade in the 1926-1927 school year. Hollis Luff had a party to celebrate his 7th birthday. "A Frigid-Aire cooler has been installed at the Goodie Cafe and now their products can be kept cool and fresh." (This is the bar part of what is now Mal's.)
