80 families were served at the Food Bank distribution last Friday. Those helping distribute items were Cheryl Scholl, Steve Kroese, Galen Crawford, Mary Wallen, Margaret Wertman, Dale Henke, Craig Kimbell, Roger Griepenstroh, Bob Wilhelm, and Elliot Gonnella. Last week we shared a photo of a cross, made from a tree at Hopewell. We have learned that Russell Hull is the artist.
Chris Kimbell was surprised with a birthday party at the gym this past weekend. Lots of old friends and neighbors attended. It was good to catch up with everyone!

Friday, 9-24-1926, The Otoe Union:
William Steinkuhler and Inez Lemon were married. Taylor Graham was on the sick list. Otoe County Sheriff Ryder, tracked down Oscar Ashworth in New Mexico and brought hime back to Otoe County. He was charged with assaulting a young girl at Burr, who was on her way to school.
