Irene (Gartner) Rodaway is turning 60

on January 18th! Stop by TR Mart to wish her

a "Happy Birthday". Or "shower" her with a card

at PO Box 175, Unadilla, NE, 68454-0175

shoveling_snow

As I write this, we have approximately 8 inches of snow -

the good news is it's light and fluffy, easy to shovel,

AND the wind isn't blowing. That being said and

remembering we live in Nebraska, it may be a dramatic

change by the time you actually receive this newsletter!

(Thanks to Jim Pope for moving some of that snow!)

*****

Fire Chief, Steve Vodicka, has requested that you keep

fire hydrants near your residences cleared.

Condolences to the many family and friends of

Phyllis Pickerill, who passed away Friday, January 7

*****

Tea Elizabeth Remington, daughter of Scott and Rachelle,

was baptized Sunday, January 9. Keith & Sandi Kimbell

attended, along with Andrew Kimbell and Berdean West.

Andrew will serve as Tea's godfather and aunt Kara Muff,

her godmother. Everyone went to Scott's afterwards

for a wonderful dinner.

*****

Harold & Sue Hull hosted the Hull Christmas dinner and

gift exchange at their home Saturday, December 26.

Those attending were: Jerry & Renae Hull, Michael and

friend Laura, and Matthew, Hastings; Randy & Jeanie

Steinkuhler, Dale & Karen Isaacs, and Russell, Kevin, &

Kaylee Hull, Unadilla; Chris & JoDee Juilfs, Spencer Semin

and friend Casey, Bennet; Ben Semin and friend Liz and

family, Lincoln; and Mike Brungardt and Rebecca Bailey,

Blake and Hayden, York. Sue had broken her leg, so

Santa's helpers, Lee & Mary Margaret Clark, Syracuse,

and Stan & Judy Hunt, Douglas, stepped in and did a

wonderful job giving Harold a helping hand. The food was

delicious and the little one's found great joy in opening

their gifts.

*****

Dale & Karen Isaacs ate Christmas dinner with her Dad,

Dale Stubbendick, at Linden View Assisted Living.

*****

Dale Isaacs received a phone call from his son Ronnie

and wife Dani, who were vacationing in Germany. They got

stuck in a terminal in London due to the bad snow storm,

but were lucky to catch a flight to Scotland and then on to

Germany. Ronnie lives in Los Angeles, so now they understand

about SNOW STORMS! Dale's grandson Ryan, who's

in the Army, and his family, are stationed in Germany.

It's hard to come up with much news with the bad weather,

but I'd still like to hear your stories - give me a call!
