Deb Aden, Connie Bruns, Shelby, Rhonda, and other family members of Leslie Camerson, Taylor Walters, Henry & Charlotte Walters, all gathered in the Duncan Building to make and fill over 40 stockings for babies in the NICU in Omaha. They have been involved in this project for over 25 years. What a wonderful way to give back, ladies!!! And thank you to Stephanie Stedman for the photos and passing this along.

Friday, 12-19-1924, The Otoe Union:
"The boys in West Russell have been disposing of their furs the past week at a good price, as there is a good demand for them this season." Word was received of the death of Gustave Moss. Perry Carrel and John Golver made a business trip to western Nebraska. The Unadilla W.C.T.U. (Women's Christian Temperance Union), had a large turnout at their meeting including 15 ladies from Syracuse.
Friday, 12-26-1924, The Otoe Union:
"The Federal Census of Agriculture for Otoe County will be taken soon. Enumerators selected: C.H. Webber, Syracuse; A.G. Teten, Talmage; H.R. Halvorsen, Palmyra; and W.A. Hahne, Unadilla. All persons over 18 years of age are required, under penalty, to answer to the best of their ability." Walter Liesemeyer and Christine Damme were married. "Those who have heard Harry Meyer's five-tube radio, say it is one of the best they've ever heard.

Show Times: 7:00 PM Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, 2:00 PM Sundays
Shows start at 7 PM on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, and 2 PM on Sundays. The concession stand will open one hour before the show starts, and the house will be open for seating at this time

Manley, Neb. - The Lofte Community Theatre will open Dicken’s Christmas Carol, December 6th, 2024. The show will run through December 22nd with performances Thursday through Sunday, with Sunday performances at 2 PM. Synopsis: From the bonny shores of England comes the Styckes-Upon-Thump Repertory Theatre Company, a stuffy old traveling troupe embarking on their fifteenth annual farewell tour of the Dicken’s tale. Can the theatre troupe handle the egos of their actors, a precarious set, and constant costume changes, and still manage to redeem old Ebeneezer Scrooge by Christmas Day? A fresh twist on a timeless tale, this comedy is a festive rollercoaster of humor, perfect for those seeking a jolly good time this holiday season!
